Bertalanffy Labs was founded to build technology that serves society, within the framework of general systems theory: anticipating future scenarios, taking precautions and making tools. We deepen philosophy through mathematics, follow new developments in science, and turn them into working tools.

Bertalanffy Labs was founded by mechanical engineer Gözde Eraslan. After more than six years of engineering (mechanical/industrial design and manufacturing), she worked on AI systems architecture; today she runs the lab with a focus on research and tool building.
She prefers building tools from first principles to assembling them from ready-made parts. Moving from machines to software, the question stayed the same: not how the parts work, but how the relations between them work.
